Hi
Heading to Perth next week. Was a member here along time ago but long forgot my username. Have had 5 mkII CRX over the years. May try pick one up when I get settled over there.
Cheers,
James
P.s. I don't get this 'post an intro' as a guest thing. I can't use my username (jamesk) so how does it register me.

Welcome back James. I think I remember some of your previous posts... The post an intro is not an automated thing, it helps Mike to weed out the bots. *Searches*.... BINGO! Hi, James here from Ireland. Am over on the crx-uk forum as well as cr-x.org, the irish forum. Im currently on my 5th crx, its a jap 1989, 1.5x, glassroof, flint black, and its completely standard except for a loud exhaust. Ive owned 2 other 1.5x's, a UK vtec and a UK 16valver. I absolutely love the cars. Now the reason I joined this forum is that Ill be finished my Marine Biology degree this summer and am planning on heading over to Fremantle to some friends for a year initially. It would be great to get some info from any freemantle/perth people here. I would love to get into some sort of marine job, is there many fish farms etc in the area? My other question is, i hear crx's are quite expensive over there? I thought you guys woud be flooded with mint jap models. Maybe its just a myth! Anyway, thanks for looking, and i look foreward to having a look around the forum! James from here. Your username was djchickcrx but we now have a preference for your username to be or include your name. Don't suppose you'll be here by Tuesday evening, but if you are pop in to the social. Let me know if you need directions, or it's definitely doable on public transport. (-8

That's me alright. Cheers for the invite but I arrive on the 17th (Paddys day ironically). One of my friends out there sent me a link to a white mkII for cheap. It looks like a tintop so I'm guessing it's an SI. Might check it out but I'd really like a MKI for a change

I have a Red gen 1 with a rebuilt ~11.5 cr D16A1 block, blacktop head and electronic distributor, fibreglass fenders, tokico illumina struts and shocks. Only half painted, no air con, rust above the driver in the gutter, and the passenger side lower plastic is poor are the down side. Can be either normal or digital dash. Something strange on the passenger side door with bolt sizes in the hinges, but it does work. There is a build thread on the car here. Ian

Hi,
Can someone email a moderator to activate my account please, still pending (username = jamesk)?
Ian, I recognize the username now from a few years back, and also think you posted on crxuk at some point too. As soon as I'm cleared I'll do some reading of your threads.
cheers all,
James

RE gen 1's, there are a couple of others floating around Perth as well, including a turbo one - look in the for sale section under warren- Salter when you get access, and Mike could probably be persuaded to part with Bandit in some form or other. There is another one as well that I haven't seen recently, but was being bought back to life slowly and with difficulty.
