Hi I'm Ady, from Queensland, just bought myself a 89 CRX. It is a time capsule, want to keep it that way. I'm hoping it will be a fun project to engage my young sons with. Yeah yeah and help me through the mid life crisis thing. Cheers. Oh and came across the forum on google.

Welcome aboard. As an old fart who owned a Gen2 CRX for about 270,000km I'm really pleased that these great cars still spark an interest among younger people.

Hi My son has a Honda Integra 1800, The car was smocking when it went into V tech so we decided to replace the valves (all 16 of them). This was a success but when we put everything back together the timing seems to be an issue, we done this according to the Haynes workshop manual but the car cuts out at 5000 revs. Are stumped by this, would like to get this going again as he wants to install turbo. At wits end. Been trying to get this right the whole weekend. He has also replaced the knock sensor, can it be the wrong one? We have advanced the timing on the exhaust cam by half a tooth and it has improved but still not there. Can any one give some advice please. All help will be greatly appreciated thanks

We have advanced the timing on the exhaust cam by half a tooth and it has improved but still not there. Can any one give some advice please. All help will be greatly appreciated thanks My first simple checks would be the vtec switch - is it plugged in. The vtec engagement is around 4800 - close to 5000, and that could be an easy one to overlook. Though making the engine cut out shouldn't be the outcome. And have you uncoonected the bridge that allows you to do the timing? The bridge affects the amount of advance, and might cause your issue. Lastly, have you got the MAP and the EACV plugs on the throttle body the wrong way round. That one caught me out nicely - started but no revs. Otherwise, check the ecu. Bridge out the link again, and turn on the ignition but not the motor. If the ecu has a problem, it starts blinking a code in a light on the front. That indicates the area of concern. have fun.

Welcome Jay. Mike will be along soon to approve your account.
I really need to call another social. Come to that and you'll meet a few of the guys. (Our socials are small - between 4 and 10 guys whoever can make it - and casual: have a chat, have a cooling beverage, have a bite, chill... )

Hi guys, I live in the Victoria Park area. Don't own a CRX, but have a first gen integra that's going to be a donor for a civic once a decent one pops up. I see there's a few 1st gen CRX owners here, so looking to get some advice and some local input, etc. Looking forward to checking out the site! Geno.
